Sweet: Alex Bright, Josef Witek, Brianna Chapman Kirsty Henning, Tilly Stevenson, Justin Tilley, Jonty Braybrooke, Chaplain Carol and Tristian Berghuis. FOLLOWING the success of the Halloween Party held at the Bridgetown skate park last year, the Bridgetown Youth Advocacy Group (BYAG) is planning another fun event aimed at 12 – 24 year olds.
‘Sweet Saturday’ is to be held on February 14 with music, dancing and skating happening under lights at the Bridgetown skate park.
BYAG Chairperson Dr Sarah Youngston said all parents and community members are welcome to come along and support this great youth activity.
“Sweet Saturday is to be held on St Valentine’s Day. This fun event will be held under lights, there will be food and drinks available for a small cost and it will be a lot of fun,” Dr Youngston said.
The BYAG has been set up to help ensure that young people feel supported and nurtured during some of the most challenging times of their lives.
“We wish to provide opportunities for young people to maximise their potentials within our community, including providing recreational and social opportunities and supporting education and training,” Dr Youngston said.
The BYAG committee consists of a number of local youth as well as many interested adults. Sweet Saturday is supported by Bridgetown Rotary and the Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes.
More information can be found on the BYAG Facebook page.
